Reverend Linda Rickman is a graduate of the
University of South Carolina and Asbury Theological Seminary.
She is an ordained Deacon in the Mississippi Conference and
serves on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and the East
Jackson District Committee on Ministry. She has served United
Methodist churches in Kentucky, Western North Carolina and
Mississippi, including three congregations in the East Jackson
District: Jackson: Christ , St. Matthews’ and Brandon First. For
the past eight years she has been the Associate Pastor of
Discipleship at Brandon First.
Linda’s duties at Madison
UMC include oversight of our Adult Ministries with emphasis on
Adult Education, Congregational Care, and Missions.
Linda
has been married for thirty two years to Rev. Cary Rickman. They
have a daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Rickman Paine, and a son-in-law,
Dr. Christian Paine, who just celebrated their first wedding
anniversary. Elizabeth and Christian are physicians at the
University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she is a Fellow
in Gastroenterology and he is a Resident in Pediatrics. Linda
and Cary have a 12 year old Shih Tzu Rudy, and a Pomeranian-Papillon
mix granddog, Princess Lily. In addition to ministry, family and
pets, Linda’s interests include reading, music, walking (100%
Amazing Pacer), biking, travel, and quality time with friends.
