Cory was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. He graduated from Maryville Christian School as valedictorian. He has four siblings, two brothers and two sisters. He has a degree in Biblical Studies from Mississippi College and a Master of Arts from Wesley Biblical Seminary in Christian Studies.     He is married to Abbey Phillips. They met at Mississippi College and both of them have a passion for student ministry. Abbey works as an Instructional technology specialist in Madison County Schools. Cory and Abbey have two kids, Ward and Hollyn, and a dog named Liam.   Cory loves everything about the sport of soccer and is a Tennessee Volunteers fan!
