Adult Ministry

Christian Education - purpose is to help form Christians in their journey with Christ. This is done through small group settings where individuals are inspired and challenged to know and experience God through Jesus Christ, claim and live God’s promises, and grow and serve as Christian disciples in the world.  Click here for current classes.

Congregational Care -  purpose is to help our congregation continue to be a caring congregation, guided by Jesus' example of servant ministry. We seek to provide compassionate care to one another in the joyful and sorrowful times of life including marriage, births, loss or change through illness, death, divorce, job loss, etc.

Hospitality - purpose is to provide a welcoming space in our church for visitors and individuals seeking a church home.

Missions - purpose is to join God in mission in the service of mission and outreach in God's world.

Evangelism - purpose is to share the good news of Jesus Christ and welcome all people with genuine Christian hospitality.

Stephen Ministry -  purpose is to equip lay people to provide one on one Christian caregiving to individuals experiencing difficult life circumstances.  Learn more: Stephen Ministry

Men's Club - purpose is to provide a dedicated ministry for building men spiritually and involving men in the total ministry of the Church. UMM (Men’s Club) exists to declare the centrality of Christ in every man’s life. Men’s ministry leads to the spiritual growth of men and to effective discipleship. This purpose is served as men are called to model the servant leadership of Jesus Christ.

Women's Ministry Fellowship - purpose is to communicate all the available ministry opportunities for women in the church through Bible studies, UMW circles, small groups, retreats and fellowships. The Women’s Ministry seeks to invite women to know Jesus Christ with their whole hearts and to grow authentic relationships with other women of all age groups.

1 Peter 4:8-10--Above all love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in it’s various forms.

United Methodist Women-the organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole person through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.

Big Event/Age level Coordinators-the purpose of this team is to meet the needs, interests and concerns of adults at every stage of adulthood by providing appropriate events and activities.

Christian Community - Madison UMC is involved with DeColores as a way of building community among Christian.
