DENOMINATIONAL GROWTH
The Global Methodist Church now has over 3,100 churches! And there are enough churches and pastors in our area that the Transitional Leadership Council of the GMC just announced that they have approved a Mississippi-West Tennessee Provisional Annual Conference beginning today, August 1.

REMINDER OF GMC STRUCTURE
As we have had in the past, we will also be in a geographical district with other churches. Following John Wesley’s model, the GMC will have presiding elders who will oversee churches and pastors in their districts, but those presiding elders will still serve full-time in their local churches. Our previous denomination had full-time District Superintendents who would oversee 90-100 churches. The goal for our annual conference is to limit the number of churches to twenty for each district. There are currently twelve churches, including our church, in our Pine Belt District.

REV. BARRY MALE NAMED PRESIDING ELDER
We are proud to announce that our senior pastor has been asked to be the presiding elder for our District.
