We Are Back on Campus for Worship: We have resumed in-person worship services on our campus (8:30 AM & 11:00 AM in the main Sanctuary -- see question 2 below for more details). We will still stream the worship service at 8:30 a.m. on our YouTube channel. After the service is live-streamed, it is quickly uploaded to YouTube for you to watch anytime.

How is Madison UMC offering opportunities for worship, spiritual growth, and fellowship during the COVID-19 pandemic?

We are thankful you are seeing this page and seeking to explore connecting with a community of faith (CLICK HERE for an online Connection Card). We are currently offering the following online opportunities (see below for campus reopening plans under question #2):
  • Worship Services -- 8:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. on campus and 8:30 A.M. online livestreaming on our YouTube channel [CLICK HERE for the YouTube channel].
  • Sunday School -- Most of our Adult Sunday School classes are using Zoom videoconferencing on Sunday mornings following 8:30 AM worship. We would love to include you in a group. Please email Ben Butler (ben@madisonumc.org) if you want to know more, including how he can connect you with a staff person for Kids and Students. Also, please visit www.madisonumc.org/online-groups.
  • Summer Bible Study -- 6:15 P.M. on Wednesdays - You can view this on our YouTube channel as well as at http://madisonumc.org/wednesday-teaching.

When will Madison UMC be reopening on-campus worship opportunities?

Our MUMC leadership recently approved a plan to begin on-campus worship again on Sunday, August 9, 2020 (see THIS NEWSLETTER for full details).
  • Worship Services -- We will have 8:30 A.M. services in the Sanctuary with overflow seating rooms for nursing moms in the classrooms on the second floor of the Education Building and through our Live Streaming on our YouTube channel (CLICK HERE). We also have an 11:00 A.M. service in the Sanctuary.
  • Registering for In-Person Worship Attendance -- Because of best practice guidelines, we are limiting the number of persons who can worship in the main Sanctuary. Although we anticipate lower attendance numbers in the early phase of coming back to campus, we are urging worshipers to plan their attendance and to REGISTER IN ADVANCE with this simple online registration tool (CLICK HERE). If you have problems registering, please email Ben Butler (ben@madisonumc.org). PLEASE NOTE: We have planned for some "cushion" in the main worship space, so even if you did not or forgot to pre-register, please come on! We will do our responsible best to welcome you with others to worship our God!
  • Parking -- We are requesting that those worshiping in the Sanctuary would park in our West lot and either enter the sanctuary from the West Fellowship Hall door or the South/front door to the sanctuary. We are requesting those worshiping in the Sunday School classrooms in the Education Building to park in the East lot and enter the facilities through the East Atrium door (covered drive). There will be door greeters to welcome you and direct you into your worship space of choice.
  • Sunday School -- we will continue Sunday School for adults online only because between service sanitation would make on-campus SS meetings unfeasible. We would love to include you in a group. Please email Ben Butler (ben@madisonumc.org) if you want to know more, including how he can connect you with a staff person for Kids and Students. Also, please visit www.madisonumc.org/online-groups.
  • Summer Bible Study -- We will continue this study at 6:15 P.M. on Wednesdays throughout the summer months - You can view this on our YouTube channel as well as at http://madisonumc.org/wednesday-teaching.

Corporate Worship is a vital and essential part of our life together at Madison UMC. We gather together on Sunday mornings as a family of believers to bear witness to the presence and work of Jesus Christ in our lives through song, prayer, and the proclamation of God’s holy word.
