Todd and Katie Moody will share about their mission work on Sunday, June 5, during the Sunday School hour in the Multi-Purpose Room (Education Building, second floor). The Faithbuilders class will host the event but all of our church family is invited to attend. Come and learn more about their mission work and how you can support them. 

We are compiling a list of interested MUMC members for the 2nd year to sponsor to go through the WESLEY INSTITUTE.

WI is a 2-track program at Wesley Biblical Seminary geared to make available solid Biblical and theological training to interested lay persons.

WBS is a trusted, evangelical seminary in the Wesleyan tradition in Jackson, MS that emphasizes the authority of the whole Bible as God's inspired Word and the capacity of the grace of the Triune God to renew us in holiness.

One of our former and beloved pastors, Rev. Kelly Pope, will preach at our services on May 29. Please be in attendance to hear what God will share with us through this gifted and dynamic preacher. 

We have restarted this annual series. Each Sunday we will look at core doctrines, common pitfalls, or central commandments for all believers. You can visit our "Sermons" page ( to catch up on previous sermons in this series. They are preached during the late spring or early summer of each year.

We will take a work team on June 4 to Delta Grace in Sunflower, MS. We will have a registration page soon for this event but please plan now to attend. Contact our Director of Outreach, Steve Potter, at with any questions. 

We had a wonderful semester of food, fellowship, and study and we will resume our Wednesdays at Madison supper and studies in August.

The Commission overseeing the United Methodist General Conference announced on March 3 that they have made the decision to postpone the General Conference that was scheduled for August of 2022 and have moved it to May of 2024. They have cited concerns over delegates from other countries being able to acquire visas as well as concerns over vaccinations for those delegates.

Our Senior Pastor has taught an online Bible Study entitled "The 12 Disciples" every Wednesday night this spring. The study has concluded but you can find those sessions on our YouTube channel:
